I am afraid I missed this one due to a family holiday (very nice - a week in the Lake District) but I am grateful to Gordon Malan for sending a few pictures and notes on the evening.
Peter's subject was Middle-Eastern or Moroccan Coffee Pots. These are made in two parts, rather like a box, with a turned spout and cap and a carved handle. He brought a selection of coffee pots which he put on display.
Peter provided ten turned items and invited the audience to fill out a form and say from what wood they were made. Gordon was fortunate enough to identify six wood types correctly and won the quiz, receiving a certificate to prove it!
