GALLERY - members' turning in April 2020

Photos of items made by members during the coronavirus outbreak, when club meetings were cancelled and we were all "locked down" at home.

Add your photos to the gallery

Club members - to add photos simply email them as an attachment, preferably with a few details, to the secretary Lance Garrard, or to Steve Fearnley. The ideal size is around 800 x 600 pixels, though anywhere close to this is fine.

To keep down the number of photos on each page, I have split them into months:

One of my other hobbies is ...

One of Lance's other hobbies is landscape photography.
Have a look at some beautiful photos of beautiful places at https://www.flickr.com/photos/metrisk

One of Steve Fearnley's other hobbies is gardening - have a look at his illustrated gardening diary at
https://www.oldfern.co.uk/indexgarden.php (work in progress).

One of Peter Howell's other hobbies is 3D printing. There are some notes on printing visors for care homes, and a link to thingiverse, where there are a few pictures of items Peter has made.

John Kershaw last week I turned a red gum burr which came from Australia and had been on a shelf for a few years which I am sure gets harder with age but the end result was worth the effort.

John Kershaw. Here's another platter. The first photo shows it on my lathe with blocks glued onto the sides, cut into the round on the bandsaw, this protects the corners when turning, note the improvised freestanding tool rest.
